"Who will roll into the Alamo City?”

The 19th Annual Alamo Bowl of the year will be held on

December 29, 2011.

The year’s Alamo Bowl will feature the 9-3 Baylor Bears against the 7-5 Washington Huskies.

“We’re pumped to get to extend our season at the Alamo Bowl in a great city and a great stadium in football-crazed South Texas,” said Baylor Head Coach Art Briles.
“We’re so happy for our fans, that they’ll be able to show up in mass support. We’re proud that our players get the opportunity to play a really good Washington team from the Pac-12 and that they get to represent the Big 12.”

The Alamo Bowl is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) game that plays after the regular football season. This bowl game matches up the Big XII Conference's and the PAC-12 Conference's ranked number four teams against each other. The game is and has been held in San Antonio, Texas at the Alamodome every year near the end of the year.
